Packing List Clothing!

Dress for Work Projects (for both men and women)

·    Old Jeans

·    Old shirts

·    Shorts may be worn, but don't expect many temps above 60 degrees.

·    Work gloves

·    Work shoes/boots

·    Hat

·    Tennis shoes

·    Sandals/flip flops

Dress for Vacation Bible School & Ministry

Men – Unless your work clothes are extremely dirty they can be worn to VBS. You will be playing and interacting with children in a fairly dusty environment so changing is not really necessary. Shorts can be worn.

Women –Keep in mind VBS time could be somewhat dirty. Don’t wear your best.

Dress for Sports Camp

Wear clothes that you would be comfortable playing basketball & soccer in.

Dress for Church & Worship Times

Bring your “Sunday best.” Mexican church culture puts a high value on dress. We don't need to match or compete with their style, but we want to show respect for their cultural norms.

The men tend to wear nice, clean jeans (not work jeans) with tucked-in collared shirts and leather shoes. In this region cowboy boots are all the rage - no pressure. The occasional sport coat can be seen.

The women tend to wear dresses & fancy pant suits with all kinds of ornate jewelry. Again, we don't need to keep up, but we don't want to stick out either. Be aware of what your brothers and sisters from the south will be comfortable with.
